The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) has roamed the forests and gardens of eastern North America for thousands of years, its range unchanged since long before European settlement. What makes this species truly remarkable is its resilience, it thrives from dense woodland canopies to suburban backyards, adapting to nearly every environment in its path. The vivid yellow and black wings aren't just beautiful; they serve as a warning display to predators, mimicking the coloring of toxic species. Each wing is a living canvas, unique as a fingerprint, no two patterns are ever exactly alike.
