Open House Direct Ask (In-Person or Day-Of)

Use this as a spoken script when you show up to an open house to introduce yourself to the agent directly. "Hi, I'm Jonathan, I do real estate photography here in [City/area]. I love the way this home is staged, would you be open to me shooting a few sample images today for my portfolio? No cost, and if you like them I'd be glad to talk about shooting your future listings." Follow up same day with Template 4 style email including a couple of the shots as a preview attachment or link.

Notes for Using These

  • Keep subject lines short, agents get a lot of email
  • Always mention turnaround time, agents care about speed more than almost anything else
  • Attach 1-2 sample images directly in the email once you have portfolio shots, don't just link out
  • Follow up once after 3-4 days if no response, don't chase further than that
  • Track every outreach attempt (agent name, date, response) so you know who to follow up with
